This page provides a snapshot of the supported release versions of each Ribbon device that can interoperate with the Ribbon Identity Hub Services as of the GA (General Availability) date.
If your network includes other Ribbon devices with a newer release version (newer GA date) than what is listed on this page (the snapshot), go to that Ribbon device's Interoperablity Matrixto see which of this product's versions interoperate with the newer release of the other Ribbon devices (newer snapshot).
IMPORTANT
Ribbon supports the latest major release and up to two major releases immediately preceding the latest release (N-2) of the interoperable devices.
To upgrade from an unsupported release (older than N-2), talk to your account team/channel partner about Ribbon’s Upgrade Assurance program.
To upgrade to a sustaining release, talk to your account team/channel partner.
The interoperability tables are intended to list supported releases, not necessarily tested releases. For explicitly-tested product versions, refer to the product release notes or contact your account team/PLM, as applicable.
Interoperability Matrix
In the table(s) below, a snapshot of two supported Ribbon product releases (labeled asLatestandMinimum) for each product that interoperates with this product at the time of GA for this product.
Latest releaseindicates the latest supported product release version to upgrade to for the latestfeatures and functionality of the interoperable product.
Minimum releaseindicates the minimumsupported product release version (N-2 or newer).
Example upgrade strategy using the interoperability matrix
The example below demonstrates choosing an upgrade strategy for STI, EMS and PSX:
When planning to upgrade to STI release21.04.00R000, also upgrade to the latest PSX 13.02.01R000 and EMS 13.02.02R000 releases to ensure full new feature functionality introduced inSTI release21.04.00R000. (Reference: first table below)
Minimum supported:STI21.04.00R000is interoperable with PSX/EMS releases back toPSX11.02.04R002 and EMS13.01.00R00; however, the new STI21.04.00R000 features and functionality is not available when using the older PSX/EMS releases.
Newer supported release version: If you wish to use a newer PSX release, such as 14.00.00R000, it is important to consult the PSX Interopertability Matrix to determine which STI releases interoperate with PSX 14.00.00R000.
The reason for this is that:
when a product is released, its Interop. Matrix is a snapshot in time to define the supported release versions.
when an associated product gets released at a later date, that Interop. Matrix reflects the supported product releases (as a future snapshot in time) against that newer release.
