In this section:

Before you start the DSC Platform Main Menu, it is assumed that you have completed the following tasks:

  • installed the required licenses

  • configured the required passwords

  • can access the DSC Platform Main Menu

If you have not already completed these tasks and require information about performing the tasks, see the Installation Guides and the Platform Manager User Guide

You can access all aspects of the DSC Platform Web UI with root user privileges (referred to in this document as a root user). The root user can create new users, and apply up to four profiles which provides various levels of read/write (RW) access.

The following table lists the various access levels to the DSC Platform, SS7 and System Manager configuration utilities.

The Hardware, Hardware Monitor, and Switch Monitor configuration utilities are not supported for the DSC SWe.
