If you have to log onto the Management CPU or the Routing and Management VM, do one of the following.
- For the DSC 8000, log onto the Management CPU using the IP addresses that you have assigned to slot 2 (p19p1.3), slot 13 (p19p2.5), or the shared IP interface (p19p1.3:0 or p19p2.5:0).
For more information about the DSC 8000 Ethernet configuration, see Ethernet Connectivity for the DSC 8000.
- For the DSC SWe Platforms (KVM or VMware Hypervisor), log onto VM1 or VM2 using the IP addresses that you have assigned to (mgt0), (mgt1), or the shared IP interface (mgt0:1 or mgt1:1).
For more information about the DSC SWe (KVM hypervisor) and the DSC SWe (VMware hypervisor) Ethernet configuration, see Creating an IP Plan on the KVM Hypervisor and Creating IP Plan on the VMware Hypervisor, respectively.
If you have to perform a provisioning task on any of the DSC Platforms using an SSH connection, do not log onto the shared external IP interface.
