The Retry Criteria allows you to configure the retry parameters.
Once the SBC sends an ACCESS_REQUEST, it waits until a configured amount of time (
Retry Timer) before resending the ACCESS_REQUEST. After a configurable number of failed attempts (
Retry Count), the RADIUS server is marked as unavailable, or out of service (OOS) for a configured amount of time (
Oos Duration), and the SBC moves to the next configured RADIUS server based on the configured priority. Once all RADIUS servers are attempted and deemed unreachable (or no responses are received), the SBC falls back to Local Authentication (if Local Authentication is enabled).
On SBC main screen, go to Users and Application Management > Radius Authentication> Radius Status. The Radius Status window is displayed.
The following fields are displayed:
|Time in milliseconds before the SBC attempts another authentication request. Range: 500-3000 and default value = 1000|
|Number of retries the SBC uses to attempt authentication. Range: 1-3 and default value = 3|
Time in minutes the RADIUS server remains out of service after a timeout. Range: 0-300 and default value = 60
