Service handler Tab

Perform the following procedures in the Service Handler tab:

To add a service to the service handler

  1. Select CONFIGURATION from the launcher tree.

  2. Select SDA.

  3. Click the Service Handlers tab. The Service Handlers tab is displayed.

  4. Click the service handler template node.

  5.  Select the service handler instance to which you want to add a service. 

    The right pane displays the services available for the selected service handler.

    The services differ based on the service handler selected

    You can change the order of the services in the right pane based on your preference.

  6. Enable any or all of the services by clicking the Enabled check box in the right pane.  
    The selected service is added and connected in the middle pane.

  7. Select Configure > Update or click the Update icon or press <CTRL+U>. The service handler instance is updated with the enabled service.


To add an event to the service in the service handlers tab

  1. Perform Add a service to the service handler procedure.

  2. Click the selected service component in the middle pane. The service name panel is displayed in the right pane.

  3. Select View > Switch to Entry Edit or click the Switch to Entry Edit icon or press <CTRL+B>.

    You can select only one parameter from a choice group of parameters in a table. A choice group is identified by green text.

  4. Enter the values for the fields in the right pane.

  5. Select Configure > Update or click the Update icon or press <CTRL+U>.

    If the entry is not updated successfully, the Status column displays Failure.

    If the Status column displays Success, the entry is committed to the database and the base components are connected to the service name component in the middle pane.

  6. Select View > Switch to Browse Edit or click the Switch to Browse Edit icon or press <CTRL+B>.

    The service name panel with the added event is displayed.

To modify an event in the service handlers tab

The fields cannot be modified with a pink key. The fields with a pink key represent the primary key. Enter values for only one field or select only one parameter from a choice group of parameters in a table. A choice group is identified by green text.

  1. Select CONFIGURATION from the launcher tree.

  2. Select Flexible Routing.

  3. Click the Service Handlers tab. The Service Handlers tab is displayed.

  4. Click the service handler template node.

  5. Select the service handler instance.

  6. Click the service name component in the middle pane. 
    The service name panel is displayed in the right panel.

  7. Modify the required fields in the service name panel.

  8. Select Configure > Update or click the Update icon or press <CTRL+U>.

    If the entry is committed to the database, the Status column displays Success. If the entry is not updated successfully, the Status column displays Failure.


To delete an event in the service handlers tab

  1. Select CONFIGURATION from the launcher tree.

  2. Select Flexible Routing.

  3. Click the Service Handlers tab. The Service Handlers tab is displayed.

  4. Click the service handler template node.

  5. Select the service handler instance.

  6. Click the service name component in the middle pane.
    The service name panel is displayed in the right pane.

  7. Select an event row that you want to delete in the service name panel.

  8. Select Configure > Delete or click the Delete icon or press <CTRL+Delete>.
     A confirmation dialog box is displayed. 

  9. Click Yes. The event is deleted.

Databases Tab

Preform the following procedures in the Databases tab:

To add an entry to a service-related database

  1. Select CONFIGURATION from the launcher tree.

  2. Select Flexible Routing.

  3. Click the Databases tab.
    The Databases tab is displayed.

  4. Select a service-related database. See the list of service-related databases in the Overview section.

  5. Click the database node to which you want to add an entry.

  6. Select View > Switch to Entry Edit or click the Switch to Entry Edit icon or press <CTRL+B>. The middle pane is displayed in the edit mode.

    A field with a blue key indicates a reference to another database table. You can double-click the text box to display the reference column help window with the list of already configured values.

  7. Enter the values for the fields in the middle pane. The Status is displayed as Edited and changes to New.

  8. Select Configure > Update or click the Update icon or press <CTRL+U>.
    If the entry is committed to the database, the Status column displays Success. If the entry is not updated successfully, the Status column displays Failure.

To search for an existing entry in the database table

  1. Select CONFIGURATION from the launcher tree.

  2. Select Flexible Routing.

  3. Click the Databases tab.

  4. Select the required database in the left pane.

  5. Select the required database node.

    Either perform from Step 6 to Step 9 or enter the query to search in the Query text box and go to Step 10.

  6. Select the Parameter that you want to search in the Search Criteria panel.

  7. Select the C Operators.

  8. Enter the Value.

  9. Select the L Operators.

    The entered values are displayed in the Query text box.

  10. Click the Search button.

To delete an existing entry from the database table

  1. Perform Add an entry to a service-related database procedure.

  2. Select the entry that you want to delete in the middle pane.

  3. Click Configure > Delete or click the Delete icon or press <CTRL+Delete>.

    A Confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  4. Click Yes to delete the entry.

To modify an existing entry in the database table

  1. Perform Search for an existing entry in the database table procedure.

  2. Modify the required fields in the middle pane.

  3. Click Configure > Update or click the Update icon or press <CTRL+U>.

    If the entry is committed to the database, the Status column displays Success. If the entry is not updated successfully, Status column displays Failure.

To set the page size of the database table display

  1. Select CONFIGURATION from the launcher tree.

  2. Select Flexible Routing.

  3. Click the Databases tab. The Databases tab is displayed.

  4. Select Configure menu option > Page Size.

    The Page Size dialog box is displayed.

    Select the Custom Size radio button to enable the Page Size field.

  5. Select Fit to Size or Custom Size radio button.

  6. Enter the page size. The valid range for page size is 5-100.  

  7. Click OK.


To generate a report

  1. Perform the Search for an existing entry in the database table procedure.

  2. Select View > Report > CSV or HTML or click the Report > CSV or HTML icon.

    An information dialog box is displayed. 


    If you select CSV, the generated report is saved as report_name_database table name.txt.
    If you select HTML, the generated report is saved as report_name_database table name.html.

  3. Click OK.

    The generated report is stored in the path given in the Information dialog box.

  4. Select View > View Report or click the View Report icon or press <CTRL+W>.

     The Repository Management window is displayed.

    If there are no reports in the database, then the View Report icon is disabled.

  5. Enter the path in the Enter Path text box and click OK or select the path in the application tree.

    The right pane displays the report with Files, Size, and Last Modified.

  6. Right-click on the report in the right pane.

    A pop-up menu is displayed.

  7. Click View from the pop-up menu.

    A report is displayed.  


  8. Either E-mail or print the report.
