This section describes the steps for inserting and removing Interface Cards from the rear of the Sonus SBC 1000/2000 chassis.

Review and follow the Sonus SBC 1000/2000 Safety Precautions before performing any service on the Sonus SBC 1000/2000 system.

Removing an Interface Card

 

To Remove an Interface Card

  1. Power down the Sonus SBC 1000/2000.

    You must power down the Sonus SBC 1000/2000 system before installing or removing Interface Cards. Hot swapping of Interface Cards is not supported in Sonus SBC 1000/2000 6.0.0 .

  2. Loosen the screws on the right and left side of the interface card until they spin freely.
  3. Depress the red buttons on the inside of the attachment levers until they click and lock into place. The Hot Swap status LED should now be lit.
  4. Grip the inside of the attachment levers and push toward the outside edges of the card.
  5. Carefully pull the card free of the chassis.

Inserting an Interface Card

You must power down the Sonus SBC 1000/2000 system before installing or removing Interface Cards. Hot swapping of Interface Cards is not supported in Sonus SBC 1000/2000 6.0.0 .

To Insert an Interface Card

  1. Carefully insert the card so that the left and right edges slide into the mounting slots.
  2. Grip the outside of the attachment levers and push toward the inside of the card until the card locks into place.
    (info) The red buttons click and pop out when the card is properly locked into place.
  3. Tighten the screws on the right and left side of the interface card.
