Use the RADIUS section of the VXGate Config dialog box to activate or deactivate RADIUS authentication and/or Call Detail Record (CDR) logging.You can also access RADIUS server configuration tools from the Config Servers button.

RADIUS Server Configuration - Authentication Server

Field

Description

Authentication Enabled

Click to activate or deactivate call authentication at the RADIUS server. When checked, RADIUS authentication is enabled.

Accounting Enabled

Click to activate or deactivate logging of CDRs at the RADIUS server. When checked, RADIUS accounting is enabled.

Config Servers Button

Click to present the RADIUS Server Configuration dialog box.

Field

Description

IP Address

IP address in dotted decimal format.

Port

Port ID of RADIUS server attachment. Default: 1812

Shared Secret

Text string containing password.

Resp. Timeout

Response Timeout
Default: 4000 milliseconds

Num Retires

Number of retries Range: 0-3


RADIUS Server Configuration - Accounting Server Dialog

Field

Description

IP Address

The IP address of the RADIUS accounting server in dotted decimal notation form.

Port

The port ID of the RADIUS server attachment.

Shared Secret

Text string of secret password.

Resp. Timeout

Response timeout value.

Num Retries

The number of retries. Range: 0-3

Send Acct On-Off Msg

Check to enable the sending of the accounting on and accounting off message to be sent upon VXgate bootup and VXgate shutdown
