Sonus WRTC Gateway hardware and software requirements and recommendations are detailed in this section.

To install and configure Sonus WRTC Gateway, make sure the Virtual Machine (VM) host meets the following recommended hardware, server platform and software requirements:

Sonus WRTC software only runs on platforms using Intel processor based server such as Dell or HP. Platforms using AMD processors are not supported. Sonus has tested WRTC Gateway only on HP DL 380 G8 server with Intel Processor. The recommended hardware and software settings are intended to ensure optimum WRTC Gateway stability and performance.

Hardware Requirement

The following table lists recommended Virtual resource and hardware and software requirement to install WRTC Gateway.

Sonus Network Design team must be consulted before selecting a Small or Large deployment.

*Sonus recommends Intel Processor based server. If E5-2690 processor is not available, Sonus recommends using Intel Nehalem family of processors (model number 30 and above), at a minimum.

The minimum CPU rating that is supported is 2.0 GHz. Sonus will not support systems with CPUs below 2.0 GHz.

δMinimum of one IPv4 neutron network for management called management-network required. However, it is recommended to add 2 NICS of which one can be used as a SIP interface.

¥ In case of cluster mode installation, based on the hard drive space for the VM, the Root and Cassandra partitions will share the equal amount of disk space.

RFC5766 compatible Turn Server

§TURN Server needs to have a Public IP address or an IP address mapped to Public IP.
Therefore, when TURN Server is behind a NAT, it needs to have a static mapping for
NAT IP:Port to TURN IP: Port for the PORT ranges used by the TURN server.
