System Requirements

To install and run VXbuilder, your computer must comply with the following requirements:

  • Pentium III, 700 MHz; 256K RAM
  • 50 MB free disk space
  • Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003, or higher

Installing VXbuilder

Accessing the VXbuilder Installation Wizard

1. Exit all Windows programs and turn off virus protection software before attempting an installation of VXbuilder software.

2. Insert the VXbuilder Installation CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive, and wait for the VXbuilder Setup Wizard screen to be presented on the console screen. When ready, click Next.


If the VXbuilder Setup Wizard fails to appear after a reasonable period of time either:

  • Browse to the CD-ROM drive and double-click the setup.exe file.
  • Use the Windows Run dialog box to launch the setup.exe file. Click Windows Start button, then Run...

3. Read the information in the License Agreement. Click I Agree then Next to continue.

4. At the Select Installation Folder screen, specify where to place the VXbuilder software on your computer.

You also use this screen to specify who is to be allowed use of VXbuilder on this computer, as either you (exclusively) or anyone who uses this computer.

To view space allocation on various drives, click the DiskCost button to present the VXbuilder Disk Space dialog box.

5. Click Next to continue.

6. At the Confirm Installation screen click Next , or click Back to modify any of your selections. The Installing VXbuilder progress screen displays.

7. Wait for the Installing VXbuilder progress screen to run to completion. After the software is completely installed in your directory, the Installation Complete screen displays. At the Installation Complete screen, click Close to exit the VXbuilder Installation Wizard .


8. If applicable, reactivate your PC virus protection program(s) before using the computer.
